Welcome!
As Principal of Chandler High School - the School of Champions - I am honored to lead such a respected and historic institution. Since our doors first opened in 1914, Chandler High has been home to generations of outstanding leaders, educators, and students who have built a proud legacy of excellence. It is a privilege to continue that tradition and to work alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, coaches, district partners, and community members to provide the highest quality educational opportunities for every student. Together, we will ensure that Chandler High School continues to exemplify achievement, tradition, and pride in all that we do.
My Education and Professional Background
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. My career in education has provided me with a diverse range of experiences that have shaped my leadership philosophy and commitment to student success. I began my career as a teacher at Arizona Boys Ranch and later served as Head of School at Sunshine Acres Children’s Home. I continued to broaden my leadership experience as Dean of Students in the J.O. Combs Unified School District, followed by serving as Principal of Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale and Principal of Mountain View High School in Mesa. Before joining Chandler High School as Principal, I also served as the Legal Services Compliance Officer for Mesa Public Schools
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all students can learn at high levels. It is our responsibility as educators to challenge them academically, motivate them to become lifelong learners, and prepare them for success in college, career, and the workforce. Equally important is fostering positive character by promoting the values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Our goal is to ensure that students are not only academically prepared but also developed as young men and women of character who will become leaders in our community and beyond.
The Choice is Yours! Why Choose?
I chose Chandler High because of its incredible diversity, strong character, and commitment to excellence. Chandler High is truly the School of Champions, and my career experiences have made this an especially meaningful and rewarding fit for me.
