Welcome!

¡Bienvenidos! I am the Dean of Students here at CHS. I want to say that it is an honor to be here and to serve this wonderful CHS community.

My Education and Professional Background

I am a native of California. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sonoma State University, a teaching certificate from Cal State Fullerton, and a Master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.

I began my teaching career in California before moving to Arizona in 2005. Over the past 21 years, I have proudly served in the Chandler Unified School District. I started at Payne Junior High as a math teacher, then transitioned to Basha High School as a Spanish teacher and Department Head. On January 8, 2024, I joined Chandler High School as the Dean of Students.

I currently live in San Tan Valley with my husband and our three children.

My Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy is built on a foundation of high expectations, clear communication, and a supportive learning environment. I believe that all students have the potential to achieve great things when provided with the right guidance and resources. I strive to create a safe space where students feel comfortable taking risks, learning from challenges, and reaching their full potential.
